Season 14, the Season of Death Awakening, gives Diablo 4 players plenty to chase, but the Mythic Horadric Seal sits near the top of the list. If you're already sorting through D4 items for a stronger setup, the Corrupted Reaper is the repeatable target worth building around. You'll find this seasonal Exalted boss at the Pandemonium Threshold in Zarbinzet. The fight itself isn't the hard part. Keeping the rewards flowing is what separates a short run from a proper farming session.
Keys Matter More Than Speed
Don't rush to Zarbinzet with a handful of Superior Lair Keys and expect a long session. The Reaper Hoard requires one key for every chest you open, and the Seal can take a while to show up. A decent stash changes the whole feel of the farm. Build it through the Glints of Hope reputation board, especially the Mystery Greater Archetype Cache once your reputation is capped. Deathtoll Chambers can help as well. It's boring prep, sure, but running dry after ten kills feels worse than spending a little extra time stocking up.
Turn One Kill Into Two Reward Rolls
Lair of Plenty is the centrepiece of the War Plans setup. It raises Lair Boss Monster Power by one, then adds a second Hoard Chest after most Lair Boss kills. The Corrupted Reaper qualifies, so every clear gives you two chests instead of one. That means two keys spent, but also two separate chances at the Mythic Horadric Seal. You're not doubling the boss fights. You're doubling the payoff from each fight.
War Plans node What it adds
Lair of Plenty One extra Hoard Chest per Reaper clear
Lair of Runes More Monster Power and better Rune potential
Golden Hoard Normal gear converts into gold
Nemesis path Possible portal to a multi-boss encounter
Make the Runs Pay for Themselves
Golden Hoard is a great fit once Lair of Plenty is active. Normal equipment from Hoard Chests becomes gold, while Unique and Mythic rewards remain in the pool. Two chests can put roughly 20 to 40 million gold in your pocket from one Reaper kill, depending on the drops. Unwanted Legendary Seals also sell well at vendors. Add Lair of Runes for Rune value, then spend spare points on the Nemesis route: Two by Two, Greater Nemesis, and Ultimate Nemesis.
Gather a deep supply of Superior Lair Keys before starting.
Activate Lair of Plenty before committing to repeated Reaper runs.
Open both Hoard Chests after every victory.
Take any Nemesis portal that appears after looting.
Keep the Loop Simple
Head to the Pandemonium Threshold, defeat the Corrupted Reaper, open both chests, collect the gold and materials, then go again. You may see Set Charms, Pandemonium Fragments, Uniques, or a Nemesis portal along the way. Around fifty keys per Seal is a reasonable expectation, though luck can swing either way. If you need to fill a missing slot between runs, buy cheap D4 items can help keep your character ready while the hunt continues. |
