| Even though you don't play as the defense in Retro Bowl, my experience has taught me that investing in that side of the ball is what wins championships. I used to think a 5-star offense was enough, but I kept losing games 45-42. I decided to change my philosophy and spent two full drafts picking up the best defensive linemen and linebackers available. The result was a total transformation. Watching the text simulation scroll by and seeing "Defense forces a punt" or "Interception!" gives me a huge sense of relief. It means my offensive drives actually matter. It’s a fascinating part of the management—you have to trust the coaches and players you've hired to do their jobs while you focus on the scoring. When I finally had a game where the opponent scored zero points, it felt just as good as throwing five touchdowns. It’s a complete team-building experience that rewards a balanced approach to the game. |
